Ahh November, something tells me were not in summer any more Toto. The weather is surprisingly fair for the end of the 2nd week of November. Cool but not cold. Wet but not soaking.I visited Lake Tamarack The trees stripped bare by rain and wind Sway as one to an unheard primordial chant. It was beautiful. I finally after 2 weeks have no pain from the shingles. A new poem is hanging off the tip of my brain, not quite ready for words. So, here is an unpublished oldie
..
Skate the Skies of November
..
Smoke of home grown fires
Tease the nose
Memories of winters past
My cloak of warmth
..
From trees balding crown to
Cattails cold dry husks
Laughter is carried
In my heart
..
No course is set for my
Thoughts
Side slip, duck and turn
Skim the evenings frosting
Dew
..
Racing the wind
I
Skate the skies
of November
..
